Knee Arthroscopy

Arthroscopy is a minimally-invasive surgical procedure that uses a pencil-sized instrument to allow your surgeon to transmit images from inside your knee onto a screen. Arthroscopy can be used both to diagnose a joint problem and to remove or repair damaged tissue.

Common treatments with knee arthroscopy include:
  • Removal or repair of torn meniscal cartilage.
  • Reconstruction of a torn cruciate ligament.
  • Trimming of torn pieces of articular cartilage.
  • Removal of loose fragments of bone or cartilage.
  • Removal of inflamed synovial tissue.
